BreedTracker's free plan allows four litters per calendar year, counted when you create each litter. The allowance resets on January 1, and existing litter records stay available.

Why it matters

  • The free plan counts litters, not dogs, puppies, or families.
  • The count goes by the day you create the litter, so you can plan around it.
  • Nothing you have recorded is ever locked or removed.

How BreedTracker counts litters

The free plan allows four litters per calendar year. A litter counts on the day you create it in BreedTracker, whatever its whelp date. Deleting a litter restores its place in the allowance. The litter count resets on January 1.

The Current Plan card on the Billing page. Its Litters this calendar year row reads 3 of 4 in amber, over a bar three quarters full.

Check your remaining litter allowance

At three litters the dashboard shows Only 1 litter remaining. On the Billing page the bar under Litters this calendar year turns amber.

The dashboard's amber note: Only 1 litter remaining, the line about the free plan's four a year, and an Upgrade to Pro button.

What happens at four litters

  1. Select Add litter on the Litters page.
  2. Litter limit reached tells you the date the count resets, with Maybe later and Upgrade now.
The Litter limit reached dialog: 4 of 4 litters created, the date the limit resets, and the Maybe later and Upgrade now buttons.

Every litter you already have stays open, and the count resets on January 1.
