Question 1

How much does dog breeding software cost?

Accepted Answer

BreedTracker starts at $0/month for up to 4 litters per calendar year, including buyer applications, litter sharing, a private buyer portal, and signed-contract uploads. Pro is $14.95/month or $149.95/year and adds unlimited litters, e-signing, advanced reports, report exports, and priority support. E-signing costs $1 per contract sent, shown before you send. Uploading an already-signed contract has no e-signature fee.

Question 2

Is there really a free dog breeding app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BreedTracker's Free plan has no time limit and needs no credit card. Track unlimited dogs and up to 4 litters per calendar year, collect buyer applications, share litter updates, and keep invoices and signed contracts with your customers. E-signing, advanced reports, and report exports are Pro features.

Question 3

What's included in the free plan?

Accepted Answer

Free includes unlimited dogs, heat cycles and progesterone tracking, puppy weights and health records, customer and waitlist management, custom buyer applications, public litter pages, and the private buyer portal. You can also upload signed contracts, create invoices, record payments, and view the core puppy board, waitlist, and sales pipeline reports. The limit is 4 litters per calendar year.

Question 4

Do applications and contract uploads cost extra?

Accepted Answer

No. Custom buyer applications and signed-contract uploads are included in both plans. Families complete applications through an emailed link, and their answers stay with their customer record. Uploading a contract signed elsewhere has no e-signature fee. Sending a contract for e-signature requires Pro and costs $1 per contract sent.

Question 5

Can I switch between plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can upgrade to Pro or downgrade to Free. Pro adds unlimited litters, e-signing, advanced reports, report exports, and priority support. When your account returns to Free, its 4-litter calendar-year limit and feature access apply. Your existing records are retained.

Question 6

Do you offer refunds?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you're not satisfied with the Pro plan, contact us within 30 days for a full refund. You can start on Free to try the breeding records, applications, litter sharing, and buyer portal before deciding whether you need Pro.

Question 7

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The annual plan is $149.95/year, which saves you $29.45 compared to monthly billing ($14.95 × 12 = $179.40). That works out to about $12.50/month, less than the cost of one progesterone test.
