Export a year-end income statement

2 minute readPro planUpdated September 2026

The Year-End Income Statement totals your recorded payments for a tax year, month by month. Choose the year and download a PDF for your accountant.

In this stage

Why it matters

  • Review the year's recorded payments month by month on one page.
  • Download a PDF for your accountant to review.
  • It is receipts only, so it never pretends to be a profit and loss.

Open the income statement and select a year

  1. Open Reports and select Year-End Income Statement under Documents.
  2. It opens on last year, so choose the year you want in Tax year.
The Tax year card on the Year-End Income Statement: the year, a note that only gross receipts are counted, and a Download PDF button.
  3. Read the four tiles across the top.

Read annual receipts and monthly totals

The four tiles across the top report the year's totals.

  • Gross receipts: every payment you recorded that year.
  • Refunds: what went back.
  • Net collected: the difference between the two.
  • Puppies invoiced: the count, with the average sale price under it.

Monthly detail lists each month's gross, refunds and net, and the totals match Revenue Summary to the cent. A year with no payments reads No activity in {year}.

The Monthly detail card on a phone: each month stacks into a labelled card giving its gross, refunds and net.

Download the PDF or export monthly rows

Download PDF adds two sections the screen does not show: Collected by source and Billed by line-item category. Collected by source splits online payments through Stripe from the ones you recorded by hand. Its note says the Stripe gross should match Box 1a of Stripe's 1099-K. The PDF ends with the app's own note that expenses are not tracked. How the income is reported is left to your tax preparer. Export CSV at the top gives the monthly summary. Export Excel includes the monthly summary, individual payments, and billed amounts by line-item category in separate worksheets.
